As your local healthcare system, Mid Coast–Parkview Health is prepared and proactively responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to ensure that we are meeting the health needs of our patients, next week, Mid Coast–Parkview Health will start to resume time-sensitive procedures and appointments that had been postponed due to COVID-19.
Mid Coast Hospital was awarded an ‘A’ in the spring 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Mid Coast’s achievements in providing safer healthcare. The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to healthcare quality and safety.
Mid Coast Hospital wants all community members to know that we are here if they need us and are adhering to safe practices in all of our offices with increased hand washing, universal masking, and physical distancing. Those with chronic health conditions, expectant mothers, parents with children in need of vaccinations can all feel confident reaching out to their providers to access safe and appropriate care.

As the COVID-19 coronavirus begins to spread more widely throughout the state of Maine and here in our community, Lois Skillings, President of Mid Coast–Parkview Health, would like to update community members on the measures Mid Coast–Parkview Health is taking to care for our patients and protect those in our service area.
In response to the increased risk of community spread of COVID-19 in Maine, Mid Coast Hospital is limiting visitors beginning Friday, March 20. These visitor restrictions are being made to protect the health and safety of patients and employees of Mid Coast Hospital and are in addition to previously announced restrictions.
